Camp Holiday Trails (CHT) is a year-round nonprofit camp located at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Central VA.
We offer year-round Camps for children and teens with medical needs and their siblings. Campers are provided the opportunity to grow in independence, challenge themselves, build relationships and have fun with other kids like themselves.
The joy of summer camp shouldn’t end in August. That’s why we’re bringing Camp Holiday Trails to you with Pop Up Camps! Imagine infusing a touch of Camp Magic into your organization – it’s an adventure waiting to unfold.
As a camper I watched alumni grow into counselors and role models — inspiring those of us who followed to become leaders and advocates. After two wonderful summers as a CHT counselor and volunteering through the year, I see how much Camp matters to everyone involved.
As someone who’s worked at CHT and now supports youth with T1D, I’ve seen firsthand that representation and support at Camp truly change lives.
My favorite part of Camp is the community — spending time outside, playing, creating, and forming an inclusive, fun group. I love seeing campers grow each year, and working with the Med Team reminds me how much camp life matters for those with medical needs.
For over 51 years, Camp Holiday Trails has made magic for children and teens with medical needs. Your support is vital in helping us sustain our efforts to provide life-changing and empowering experiences for our campers!
