Staff Training

Summer Programs are staffed by Counselors and Volunteers who are dedicated to providing a positive, safe, fun and memorable experience for our Campers.

At Camp Holiday Trails in 2007:

• over 80 applicants competed for 22 Counselor positions!
• we welcomed a Service-Dog-In-Training to our staff
• our Counselors came from throughout the U.S. and are currently enrolled or recent graduate from colleges and universities where their majors include medicine, nursing, psychology, education and other child-centered disciplines
• 100% of our Counselors and Camp Staff are trained in 1st Aid, CPR and AED use
• all Counselors complete one-week of intensive training and team-building before Camp begins

Family Camp Weekends and other special events are staffed by volunteers and Camp staff - a group that may include specialists in a medical field, child life specialists, psychologists, social workers,registered dieticians and other experts.
